I agree with you, Bardo. CLASSLESS. That describes Bruce Pearl perfectly. Liar and cheat work pretty well, too.

Are you stupid?
He was calling the Illini fan classless for doing that.
And I agree...its fine to care about sports...but get over it.
You want to rant/rave on the internet..thats fine. But actually yelling at people in an airport is fn dumb.

Current problems are what need fixing.

I think you are. I assume the op has a sense of irony.

stfu... You're an outed KU fan. It's one thing to rally the haters against Weber on this site. It's another when you instigate the Henson/Pearl/Probation affair.
As far as Bardo is concerned... At this point he's a talking head. I expect that from him.

One current problem that needs fixing - Lou Henson is not in the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, probably because of what Pearl did.

Nothing gets by you, eh?
Bardo was indeed calling the UI fan classless, not for what he said, I'm sure, (which by the way had as much to do with Pearl's congenital lack of integrity and the most recent display thereof as what happened 30 years ago) but because the polite thing would have been to let a Tennessee fan say it.

It's definitely got me wondering.

Stephen Bardo is entitled to his opinion. In the case of Bruce Pearl and any crap he takes from Illini fans, Bardo's opinion is just one of many and does not impact me in the least. Kinda like my opinion of Twitter. It's only my opinion.
Was the act classless...yep.
Was it necessary...nope.
Do I care if that happens to him assuming children aren't next to him...nope.
Would I do it...nope.
Would I have thought about it...am right now.
Do I smile thinking about it...yep.
I can multitask. I worry about the current issues AND can reserve and call up a lot of distaste for a person of poor character such as him, who fooled a broad range of sports writers and columnists for a long time. These are exclusive items/issues.
Those who chose to dismiss it all now simply because it is the past, simply have chosen to ignore the one of the most important negative events in the last 40 years of Illini Hoops. The impact of that event on the program is easy to underestimate as time passes and the fact that the NCAA never held themselves accountable for their shoddy work is another lasting legacy from that event.
Nobody but you is suggesting that focusing a little bit on Bruce means we are ignoring the current BS state of the program. No need to infer it or lead the thread to nothing. It worked though...people ran with it.
Bruce Pearl is not owed any respect by any Illini fan or associated person. If on a rare occasion someone gets in his face, I will not lose any sleep. He's also got several millions that he can shove into his ears to block it out.

Speak it, Steven. Lots of immature people who cannot let go of things that happened 20 plus years ago. I feel sorry for the guy who actually did that to Pearl at O'Hare. That guy needs a life in a big way.

Also because he only went to two Final Fours, won very few Big 10 conference championships, etc. With the talent that Henson had, I would have expected more to be hanging from the rafters at the Hall. I do not think Henson belongs in the Hall of Fame (just like Gene Keady doesn't).
Still, Henson recruited like mad, had the program an the "elite" level for a long period of time, and should rightfully be lauded for his efforts. The program was in excellent hands when Henson had the reins of it.

STILL Top 10 in All-Time wins(tied with Lute, however Lou had some removed for something another coach did, which is absurd)two different teams to the FF,...Those are HOF numbers right there.
